Unit Director: Ashley Stewart
Ashley Stewart joined the Boys & Girls Club movement in April 2012. Within no time at all, the Asylum Hill Clubhouse began to feel like home. There, Ashley will forever have memories of the staff, parents, and the many special young people who have influenced her life just as much as she has influenced theirs. Ashley began her career with BGCH as a Youth Development Professional, and now occupies the role of Unit Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford at Trinity College. As a returning resident of Hartford, Ashley takes pride in her connectedness to her community. Ashley currently is pursuing her Bachelors degree in Child & Youth Development at Charter Oak State College. Living, serving and working in the Hartford community is merely the seed being planted for her life’s work. Her outreach extends far beyond the community in her backyard. Ashley is a facilitator for The Discovery Center, a Hartford based non-profit, serving youth and educators across Connecticut. She also sits on the board of Haymarket Peoples Fund, a foundation that allocates funding to organizations in New England, engaging in social justice and anti-racism work.
